How to Spend Mother’s Day

Make this Mother’s Day an unforgettable one by showing your mother—or an equally significant lady—just how much you care. Here are a few ideas on how to spend the day.

handpicked flowers

Start the day right by creating a beautiful side table that your mother can awake to. Decorate with handpicked flowers and your finest china.

Get lost in nature. What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than with mother nature? Go for a stroll along the beach, pack your hiking boots and explore new trails, or enjoy a picnic in the colorful midst of some flower fields. Whatever you choose, make sure the view is scenic and something she’ll enjoy. The simplicity and beauty of the natural world is a treasure and the thought is everything.

Treat her. Give her a day to relax and unwind—treat her to a day of spa or a mini shopping spree. Wake up early enough to make her her favorite cup of coffee or tea. She’ll appreciate the gesture of allowing her to indulge in her favorite things.

Respect her. However you decide to spend the day with her, make sure you provide a lending ear and listen to all she has to say. Let the conversation take over–there’s no better way to spend Mother’s Day than bonding with your mom through a good ol’ chat. After all, she is the one who brought you into this world—she can speak words of wisdom.
